Omg this place rocks...i havent seen quality furniture like this in a long time. Pricey but graunteed worth every dollar... family run very polite and helpful with decision making. I had been looking for well made furniture FOREVER! I stumbled upon this place on Facebook. From my first email Jonathan was amazing. I was looking for a specific kind of couch (which I of course found out ent out of business). But Jonathan assured me Id find something fabulous at their store. Boy did we! We found a couch, two chairs and an ottoman! We also had amazing help picking out cool funky fabrics that go beautifully with a crazy rug we have in our den. Jonathan has a GREAT eye!

We could not be more pleased with our new custom sofa. We worked mostly with Jonathan, who supported us every step of the way (which included multiple visits and much indecision). Our new sofa was delivered earlier than expected and it is gorgeous. It was an investment, but will last for many years.

Saugerties furniture hung in with my wishy washy thought process and four visits. Hoping for the perfect sofa for my new home I ended up choosing exactly what Jonathan suggested on my first trip into the store. Showing him my collection of photos that appealed to me on line he understood me as a customer. He surmised i was not a traditionalist. I wanted quality. He helped me identify ...not to low, not too deep, a little bit shabby with a whole lot of chic. And in the end HE WAS RIGHT! My sofa arrived today and it is stunning. The minute you walk in the door you can tell this is a special store. It looks much smaller that it really is from the outside. Inside the furniture just goes on and on. I visited 3 times before I bought and worked with both Jonathan and Russell, both were very patient and full of great ideas. I never felt like I was being "sold" and they really explained everything about the furniture and all the options, which were numerous. These guys are real furniture experts I don't know how they remember it all! I bought a Smith Brothers sofa and leather recliner and some GORGEOUS cherry end tables from one of their amish builders. I really liked the fact that they didn't pressure and I think their prices were very fair for the quality of the furniture. Delivery was on-time and the guys were very pleasant and careful in our house. I can't imagine why I would shop in another furniture store now that I've found Saugerties furniture.

I have been meaning to write this review for over a year, but am just getting around to it and am glad I waited. I can attest to the fact that this furniture is beautiful, well made and can stand the test of time. My custom made sofa and recliner look as beautiful today, over a year later, as the day they were delivered. I believe in supporting hometown businesses, so SFM was the first place I went when I needed new furniture. We were met by the owner, Russell, who told us to look around and he would be available for any questions. First of all...the selection is amazing !!! My daughter and I literally spent hours there because of the amount of inventory they have. Immediately you can see that this is very high quality furniture, yet the prices are very reasonable and all the ones I looked at were made in the USA which was very important to me. Russell would catch up with us every so often, offering information and listening to what I was looking for. I finally decided on the sofa, then had to pick from the literally hundreds, maybe thousands of fabric swatches...wow!!! Loved the one I picked out, it has proven to be very durable with minimum care needed. I also bought a recliner to match, which I wasn't really planning on, but when Russell told me I could get it in the matching fabric of my sofa, I had to have it. And thank God I did...in June of 2014, I broke my ankle, had to have surgery and spent the next 4 months in that recliner...sleeping in it and all !!! Still looks brand new after all that wear and tear...Both the sofa and recliner are very very comfortable with just the right amt of firmness and support. Needless to say, I am very pleased with my furniture and my experience with Russell and SFM. Thank you so much for a great product that we will enjoy for years to come !!!
